My summer-themed Mother’s Day gift guide is here!
I wish someone would have shared this with me sooner. Don’t worry, I’ll let you in on my little Mother’s Day secret. It was an absolute game-changer for me. It helped me find joy on Mother’s Day versus succumbing to the negative thoughts and feelings that sometimes circle around this one particular day of the year.
Are you ready? I tell my husband exactly what I want for Mother’s Day.
That’s it! It’s really that simple. I take all the guesswork out of it and I tell my family exactly what I would like for Mother’s Day. I share how I would like us to spend the day, what little gift I would love to get, and even what kind of time alone I would like on the day as well. By sharing my hopes and expectations there is no room for disappointment. It’s really a win-win for everyone.
So I thought I’d share with you a couple of the items that I’ve got my eyes on this year for Mother’s Day in a quick little Summer themed Mother’s Day Gift Guide. These items are easy for dads or kids to grab and they’re the perfect way to welcome the warmer weather.
What item in the Mother’s Day Summer Gift Guide will you ask for?
I really do think the name says it all. Does that not sound like the perfect bag to bring to the beach or even to the pool for that matter? Just think how easy it would be to hose sand off. Big big fan.
Every mom needs a new hat for the summer! I love this color and I think this style of hat is really flattering on most faces, which is impressive for hats.
Are you an avid polaroid taker? This gift is right up your alley and it’s a great way to store all of those photos that are laying around and give them a new purpose. You could even get an album each year and make it your “family yearbook”!
If you know me you know I had to include a Polaroid Camera on the list. It really is one of my favorite things and I love using it for sessions and for taking quick photos of my family. My kids also love to use it which is also fun.
For the mom who might find herself filming reels more often (I salute you fellow business owners) or the mom who wants to be in more photos with her kids. This selfie stick makes it really easy to set up and take the photo.
If you’re a fellow book lover I recommend you check out these four. They’re the perfect beach or summer read.
Last but certainly not least, a new journal is always a welcomed gift for me. Whether I’m going to do my weekly gratitude in it or it’s going to house random thoughts, to-do items, or grocery lists, I always find a way to fill it. Is anyone else like that? Promptly Journals are my favorite because they provide little prompts for you to answer. It makes journaling a lot easier and more thoughtful. They have one for A Year of Gratitude and A Self Love Journal.
