Family Photo Outfits for Summer

Summer family photos are here which means family photo outfits for summer! There is so much light to play with for in-home or outdoor sessions and with early sessions you can beat the heat. It’s the perfect combination! In preparation for family photo sessions, I created 3 different family looks for summer 2020 in case you need some inspiration or guidance. Soft colors are a great choice so I coordinated outfits around a blue color scheme, neutral/tan color scheme, and pink color scheme. Let me know which one is your favorite!

Blues! Personally, this blue color scheme is my favorite, but what can I say, I’m a sucker for blues. If you’re struggling to find stuff for your boys, I recommend checking out The Children’s Place. It has lots of great basics that coordinate well with dad and the rest of the family! Also if you’re looking to add pops of colors, try incorporating it in accessories on only certain outfits.

Naturals/tan are breezy and so beautiful in the summer. I feel like they look amazing against the greens and blues of the outdoors which makes them a perfect option for summer. One thing I love about naturals and tans is that it’s easy to dabble in light pinks and other shades. There is definitely a lot of room to play with color combinations.

Last of course, pinks! I like this look because it’s a bit more casual than the ones above. It goes to show that there is no specific way you need to look or dress for your family photos. Dress your family and yourself in a way that is comfortable and authentic. You will feel more relaxed in your photos and you’ll love your photos more. If you are thinking of layering like overalls, pick a loose linen shirt, which will be a lot cooler.
