It’s time to talk fall family photography session experience! I know it might feel like fall but my family on the East Coast says leaves are already changing for fall, so whether or not California finally decides to get on board and start cooling down, fall is nearly here! With it, comes the rush of fall family photos, which is the busiest time of the year for my photography business. It’s also one of my favorite times of the year because I get to work with returning clients whom I saw for family photos the previous year and I get to meet new families as well!

All in all, it’s a great experience to capture so many special moments. Whether you’re a fall session regular or this is your very first time, here is what you can expect from a fall family photography session experience with Madison Thomson Photography.

Yes, some of you (or maybe some of your family members) feel like fun and family photos can never coexist. I would like to prove you wrong. The mother of one family I worked with said, “Maddie was amazing with our kids, getting them to laugh and making it a fun experience for them.”

My style of photography is authentic and fun. I want to capture genuine reactions and most of that comes from being silly, telling jokes, and snuggling in really close. I use a lot of kid-friendly prompts that are comfortable and straightforward, which helps everyone relax and just be themselves.
