Hey new mama, this blog post is for you and how to book your newborn photo session at home! First off, congratulations on that new sweet baby! Second off, I know that a lot is going on in those first weeks of the baby coming home with adjusting to a new sleep schedule, all things postpartum, and everything else.
Sometimes that means the newborn photo session at home you booked while pregnant feels less important and a little overwhelming. But I promise you that it is neither of those things. In fact, I would argue the opposite. I recently had a newborn photo session at home and the mom said “Wow, Madison did such an amazing job capturing our newborn and family so perfectly! The pictures she took are absolutely stunning!”
Newborn photo sessions at home are important because they capture such a sweet and unique time in your life. I work incredibly hard to make sure that your experience is far from overwhelming and that you have photos that really capture how important this time is for you and your family.
Worried about juggling a toddler during a newborn photo session at home? Don’t be.
She said, “Our toddler is a handful, and Madison handled him like an absolute pro during our session and got so many great photos of him (which is not an easy task), and of course the newborn and family shots are beautiful!” Listen, I’ve had toddlers, I know toddlers and toddlers don’t scare me. I bring tidy treats, I play games with the whole family and there is a lot of joking around.
I can promise that a newborn photo session at home is anything but boring. During a newborn shoot, I will take a variety of photos of everyone in the family. It’s basically a newborn session and a family session rolled into one.
Worried about a clean house or what clothes to wear during your newborn photo session at home? I’ve got you covered.
I share lots of resources on how to prepare for an in-home newborn session with tips that are as simple and doable as possible. I’m talking -gather anything out of place in a laundry hamper and stick it in a closet- simple. I share clothing guides to help you find outfits for the whole family and I even have a client closet with options for mom, dad, sister, and brother. My client said, “She definitely made us feel at ease the entire session. I recommend her to all my friends and family, and I can’t wait to work with her again!”
I have been a Fresno photographer for many years now and I have lots of experience working with a lot of different types of kids, husbands, and babies. Fresno newborn sessions are one of my specialties. Other than showing up and being willing to go along with my prompts, you don’t have to do any of the heavy lifting in the session. Note: I definitely recommend booking your newborn photography session while you’re about 6 months pregnant so we can make sure to find a time that works easily into your schedule.
