If your New Year resolution is to better document your family with a photo session for 2024 season, it can be a little overwhelming to dive into the world of photography. What photo session for the 2024 season should you book? How many photography sessions should you book in a year? What moments are worth capturing? My job as a photographer is to make those questions as simple and easy to answer as possible. If you’re thinking about getting photos taken in 2024, there are three different types of photo session for 2024 season that I consider the most important.
One Family Session
Regardless of what season you’d like to take your photos in, I recommend that you have at least one family session a year. These are great because you can get all the photos you need all at once. From updated family photos to replace old photos in your home to individual kid photos, it’s nice to have one big session that covers everything. I recommend one family session a year because it keeps your photos up to date and captures a lot of the growth that happens. Check out some of my favorite family session locations!
Milestone Sessions
These sessions will look different every year and for every family. Some families will have lots of milestone sessions and some might not have any. Milestone sessions are Senior photos, Newborn photos, Maternity photos, Cake Smash photos, etc. I love milestone sessions because they capture the big moments that are happening in 2022 for you and your family.
Mini Session
These are Blossom (which is coming up!), Morro Bay, or Christmas Tree photos – These are easy breezy 15-minute sessions that provide a nice variety to the photos in your home. These are also a nice addition because you can stagger this session 6 months after your family sessions. Time flies and kids change so quickly so it’s nice to have a second session that captures those changes and gives you a chance to experiment with location and clothing options.
If you’re looking to book a mini session my Blossom sessions are now open for booking! Schedule a call with me!
