As a family photographer, I know that one of the biggest hurdles with sessions is organizing outfits for the family. It can take way too much time and leave you feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by the number of choices. I want to make your photo experience as relaxing and seamless as possible, which is why I have a client closet and I now offer FREE access to Style and Select for my clients. Style & Select is an amazing service that allows you to look through a variety of clothing options for everyone in one place! After you’ve booked your session you will receive your prep guide with a link and the current access code to the account. Then it’s smooth sailing from there!

Or follow these instructions:

1. You’ll first choose from three different styles. Pick a style that feels natural for your family. I don’t normally recommend trying something brand new or out of the box for your photo session. Stick with a style that feels comfortable.

2. Then select a handful of color combinations. Personally, I usually choose colors based on the season, but that’s my preference. Choose the colors that you like best!

3. From there, fill out a quick profile of each individual in your family that includes sex and age range.

4. Once you’ve provided that information, you will be presented with different clothing options for each individual. Here you can scroll through different top, bottom, dress and skirt options. You can even see which items in my client closet fit with the style and colors that you selected. Drag and drop the clothing items that you like into the top square. Once you feel confident with one individual’s clothing options, move on to the next person.

5. Repeat the process for each member of your family.

6. Once you’re done, you’ll receive an email with links to all of the clothing items that you picked! Easy!

Style & Select takes so much of the headache out of planning clothes for family photos.
