Fresno blossom photo sessions are here which means my clothes for spring photo session round-up is here as well! We can finally gush over the beauty of those blossoms and the people I get to photograph right in the middle of them. I’m going to be honest, it’s one of my absolute favorite sessions. So come do it with me! What’s holding you back? If it’s finding outfits for everyone, I get it, but that doesn’t have to stop you! I’m a good friend and I’ve got it covered. (You can thank me later!)
There are a lot of great colors this year and I have this great cheat sheet of clothes for spring photo session round-up to make your life a little easier. Book your session, buy the new cute outfit, dress up your sweet family and come join me on the blossom trail. Your family and your photos will look beautiful.
Clothes for spring photo session for mom
I’m feeling a little fancy this year. Are you? Check out these dresses that I found recently. Dresses are the best because they are beautiful and flattering. The colors that I am really loving this year are creams, pinks, soft purples, and blues. But feel free to shift directions and find a color that you feel pretty in. That’s really what matters most.
Wear flats or wedges. This is more of a practical tip than anything else. The soft dirt around the blossom trails is an easy trap for heels to sink into. It’s a pain to work with and then you end up with muddy heels. No fun. Skip the drama and wear shoes that are dependable.
Clothes for spring photo session for dad
Blossom Sessions start the last couple weeks of February and the beginning of March so there can still be a little chill in the air. Cue the sweaters! Any sweater that coordinates with mama’s dress is the best option. Try to keep it simple because most of the time that is what dad is most comfortable in anyways.
Clothes for spring photo session for boys
For boys of all ages, I tend to mimic dad’s clothing a little bit. Try to keep it simple because we want that sweet boy of yours to be comfortable in his clothes too. Although you can get a little more creative if you’d like. Hello bow ties for little boys! Here are a couple of cute suggestions.
Clothes for spring photo session for girls
This year I am a big fan of beautiful long dresses for little girls. I’m thinking of getting one for my Marjie girl to wear for her 7 year old photos in the blossom trail. I pinned so many on my Pinterest board so you have to go check those out! It is linked below.
If your girl isn’t into flowy dresses as much as mine is then check out other options on my pinterest board as well. Again, the popular colors this year are creams, pinks and blues, if you’d like to stick to those it makes for easy coordination with everyone.
If you still need a couple more ideas, check out this Pinterest board to scroll through clothing ideas for the entire family. And don’t forget to book your session! I have limited edition sessions this year which are shorter and a bit more budget friendly than my traditional sessions. You can sign up for those here:
If you’d like to choose your own day/time, get ALL of your edited images, have a little longer, more relaxed full session for your family photos, maternity photos, senior photos or even cake smash photos, you can contact me for a time here! Just tell me in the message you’d like a blossom session and I’ll see what days I still have available! I can’t wait to see you on the blossom trail!
These are all such great tips. There is so much more to making a session fantastic than just showing up for the shoot. You have a great eye for detail and your clients are so fortunate to have someone like you ready to help create the perfect session.
