Fall family photos are right around the corner! I talked with all of you and the number one reason people hesitate to book their family photos is the hassle of figuring out family photo clothes ideas. I get it, sometimes it feels overwhelming trying to balance “going together” and being overly “matchy-matchy.”

This is my fancy maternity blue look! If you didn’t book a maternity session, family photos can be a great time to capture some maternity shots with your family. Bonus! This look is a little fancier with collared button-down shirts and fancier dresses for mom and daughter. Sometimes fancy is fun, try it for one year and see what you think!

Family Photo Clothes Ideas Option #2
Next is my pink casual Friday look! That’s right people, we’ve got jeans! This is one of my favorite looks because no one is wearing the same color, but they all look like they go together. It’s the perfect example of coordination versus matching. There’s a lot of flexibility in the casual look, you can put mom or daughter in jeans as well and easily mix up your colors more.

Family Photo Clothes Ideas Option #3
Last is my Fall denim look. I love a good classic denim. This is kind of a sweet spot between fancy and casual. Pro tip: I recommend finding a dress for Mama first. From there put the boys in your neutral colors like blues, browns, whites, etc. Then find a color outfit for your daughter that compliments the colors in Mama’s dress.
