Bright colors are in, baby! I was doing some research for my blossom sessions and I was obsessed with all the reds, blues, and purples. This is the kind of energy we need! If you have a blossom session booked, check out these options for clothing ideas. I know that most of the time, if mom can find her outfit, then everyone else’s will fall into place. Just remember, if you’re going bold, then make sure to get some neutrals in there with someone else’s outfit. If you’re the neutral one, then have other members of the family wearing the pattern and color. As always, if you have questions, definitely reach out and I would be happy to brainstorm clothing ideas and combinations with you.
Here are some outfits that I really loved and I know would look amazing for a blossom session. Snatch up one of these pieces or just draw some inspiration from them as you look for your outfit. And if none of these fit your fancy, head over to my Pinterest board. I pinned a lot of different outfit ideas for this year’s blossom sessions.
This is the Demi Dress in Buttercream from Ivy City Co. It’s beautiful, flowy and comfortable. That’s a triple threat in my book. Ivy City Co. has beautiful dresses and they also have coordinating little girl dresses if you want to do a sweet matchy-matchy look.
This is the Laney Corduroy Tiered Tunic Dress from Anthropologie. You know that any Anthro dress is just dreamy. I loved the lavender color but there are other colors that would be great. This one is super easy to dress up or down. Also it comes in plus sizes!
The Make it Sweet Gridline Top and Bottom from Roolee is amazing! I love this as a neutral look for Mom. And it can be personalized in so many ways, just a quick change to ballet flats and no hat and it’s a completely different look.
The Marcella Tiered Midi Skirt from Anthropologie with this cute peasant top would be a dream in blossoms. If you’re not in love with the skirt, then just use it as inspiration. Find a flowy midi skirt that feels like you and then build your outfit around it.
Have you ever thought of a jumpsuit for blossoms? This is the Long Sleeve Floral Frill Neck Jumpsuit in Red from ASOS. It looks more casual here which is a great option but throw on a pair of boots and it’ll have a fancier feel.
The Maris Midi Sweater Dress is a great option if you still want to play to cooler weather in your blossom session. This dress also comes in plus sizes!
The Tracy Rose Skirt from Roolee is another great skirt option for your blossom photos! You could throw a cute jean jacket over it, a graphic tee or a nicer blouse. Lots of different looks with this one too!
I will not apologize for the amount of Anthropologie dresses in here. LOL. They’re just too pretty. This is the Wendy Tiered Maxi Dress. I LOVED this jade green color but it also came in a really pretty red. And plus sizes!
Oh wow, I wish I could have a blossom session! They sample photo looks lovely. What a great idea to provide a clothing guide for your clients!
Thank you! So fun to have some color in the blossoms this year!
I love all these color suggestions for cherry blossoms. Usually clients go with soft colors but I agree that the bright pop of color would look amazing.
Right? Kinda fun to do something a little different!
I love all the color suggestions! This would be so helpful for me as your client to have guideness on what would match the location.
Thank you! It seems like brighter colors are coming in. I think they’ll be fun on the white backdrop of the blossoms!
