Fresno is such a small world…
and this family came to me after I did college senior pictures for their sister in law! We decided to meet at Woodward Park which I like for cake smash photos because it’s easy to bring all of the extra supplies we usually have for a cake smash! They chose a Signature Session which means I provide the cake from Floured Counter. Ali makes the most delicious cakes and I always tell families to make sure they take home any extra and try it out because they will not be disappointed!
With a Signature Cake Smash Photo Session,
we start off with a mini family session at the beginning. I get some photos of the whole family, some with mom and baby, dad and baby and any sibling shots. It’s a nice way to get to capture everyone right then and to document surviving that first year of your baby’s life! Then we pause for a moment while I set everything up for the cake smash. I take a few pictures of baby by himself in the scene, a couple pictures of the cake by itself and then we bring the baby and cake together to have some fun! Signature sessions have a keepsake film included so I switch back and forth with video and taking photos which is a really fun way to fully document what your family looks like right now and celebrating your baby reaching that one year milestone!
At a cake smash photo session,
some kids are timid and don’t smash the cake up, but that’s okay! It’s still adorable and still captures who they are right now. Other kids go crazy with that cake and tear into it, and that’s fun too! Ultimately, I want your child to enjoy this experience as much as I enjoy capturing it. It’s okay to be a bit nervous. I have three small children myself and know how unpredictable they can be! But I can guarantee you that you will not regret having these memories to cherish. Let me give you the gift of freezing time for your child, and capturing who they are at this moment! If you would love to do that with a Signature Photo session with an included cake and keepsake film, click that contact button and let’s chat!
