A month ago, I got to capture a sweet all boy family and it was so much fun! I love capturing newborns with siblings and these little boys did not disappoint. Hunter (2yo) was into baby and it was so much fun to get to capture him having fun loving on brother. Big brother Hudson was a chill dude and soooo helpful with baby, brother, and mama. I’m finding out that having a slightly older kid can be very very helpful when you have a little baby! He could hold baby well, listen to directions and still have fun.

A little ways into the session, Hunter pulled out dad’s cowboy hat and I just about swooned! Then all the boys pulled on their cowboy hats and I collapsed on the floor. Those sweet cowboys loving on their little newborn baby brother was just too perfect. I love capturing things that are unique to a family and these cowboy hats definitely made this fun family stand out. If your family is super into a sports team, pulling out everyone’s baseball cap, or if everyone is super musical, playing your instruments during the session are all ways to show off what makes your family you and why I love in home lifestyle sessions so much! I don’t do posed baby photos with objects, but I always love to incorporate items naturally into the session.

We ended the session with hanging out in the nursery. Mom is also a local photog! Find her here! So she got why I wanted to play with some harsh light and do some slightly weirder photographer things, haha! It was so nice to meet this cute family and they definitely made me re-think living out a little ways where there’s plenty of room for my boys to run around!
