My focus in family photography is a lifestyle focus. For me, that tends to be a marriage between posed and documentary style photography. Most of my images, I’ve positioned my clients so they will look their absolute best and be connected. I want everyone touching always! Then I usually give them a prompt with a game or activity or something to do with each other to get them interacting and get those more realistic reactions and connections between them. I want to document what your family looks like right now. I want to show you your beautifully perfect imperfections and all of that love floating between you.
Mamas. I work hard to make sure you feel beautiful and that you get at least one “mama goddess” shot, where you see it and you feel absolutely beautiful in the love you have for your children. Each time I had a baby, there would be a quiet moment when I would look into their eyes and I just felt so much love and adoration reflecting back at me. I usually looked like a hot mess. Hair unwashed, no make up, soft body, stretched out clothes, but in that moment, I felt absolutely beautiful with all of the love staring back at me in my child’s face. I want you to have that moment of feeling radiant in that love.
I want to document how important these connections are for you. I want to create tangible memories that you can touch and look back on in these images of your love. When you flip through an old album or scroll through your old instagram feed, I want you to be filled with nostalgia and tenderness over your daughter playing with your hair or your son being thrown in the air. Those little things won’t happen forever. At some point, they get too big to sit on your lap, or be thrown into the air. But these photo memories will last and remind you of those simpler times. If that sounds like something you want to document for your family, click that contact button and let’s get in touch!
