Fresno Family Photographer: The Ronquillo Family

fresno family photographer

Way back in November, I did a family nomination giveaway on Giving Tuesday after Black Friday. I wanted friends and family to nominate families who have had a rough year for whatever reason. It was so hard reading all the struggles the nominated families have been through. Cindy and her family were nominated and won the giveaway. I got to capture their sweet family in January and had so much fun hanging out with them and getting to know them. Ezekiel was born with Biliary Atresia and received a liver transplant when he was just a little baby. He’s one now and things are better and more stable, but there is no cure right now. Currently he needs regular monitoring to make sure his levels don’t go out of whack. All of this means that mom and dad have been spending lots of time driving back and forth to the hospital and just being in the hospital with Ezekiel. That puts such a strain on any family, and I wanted to give them something happy to celebrate how far they’ve come and to remember the joy in their family right now. You can follow along with Ezekiel’s progress here on his facebook page!

This family was so sweet with each other, and everyone adores that little baby! I’ve had some families with a mix of big kids and tiny kids and it’s so nice to see how helpful the bigs can be with their siblings. Makes me think that maybe I should have spaced mine out more! We had fun hanging out, throwing rocks into the water, and snuggling. I love making families snuggle! Ezekiel had just started walking and basically just wanted to be down and walking around. Sounds like my littlest guy!

I’m so glad I got to meet this family and give them a little something to remember all the happiness and fun in their family.
