Fresno Cake Smash Photography: Atticus

Priscilla found me on facebook and said she wanted to do a cake smash session for Atticus who was turning one. I LOVE cake smash sessions! They’re such a fun way to celebrate a baby turning one and moving into that toddler stage and celebrate mom and dad surviving a year of parenting! I have a few props for cake smashes and I love collaborating with mom (or dad!) to create something unique for you and your family. I always love when parents know what the theme of the first party is going to be and incorporate props for the party into the cake smash. Atticus loves Puppy Dog Pals so mom and dad brought a few cutouts of his favorite pups and dressed Atticus up like the owner. Sooooooo cute!!!

I always like to get a few images of baby with mom and dad before we start with the cake smashing. You deserve to be celebrated too! The main focus is always on baby and the cake smash, but it’s fun to have your family documented at this stage in a few shots.

Atticus was not timid at all about diving into his cake and quickly ended up with a blue goatee! He had fun diving into the frosting and eventually dad smooshed his face into the frosting which perplexed and entertained Atticus!

We had beautiful light and I love watching babies enjoy that cake and get all messy! I also love that we have pretty good weather here in Fresno for outdoor cake smashes year around for the most part. If weather doesn’t cooperate with us, all you need is a blank wall in your home for us to set up in front of. Moving furniture around can sometimes help find that wall. But if you want an outdoor cake smash, I think we’ll be able to find a day that’s warm enough any time of year! If you’re interested in a one year old (or two or three or 33!) cake smash, click that contact button and let’s get planning!
